Alex Advises Marquinhos to depart Paris Saint-Germain
Former Paris Saint-Germain defender Alex believes Marquinhos may need to leave the Ligue 1 champions to be able to fulfil his potential.
The 21-year-old became a member of PSG from Roma in This summer 2013, but has to date unsuccessful to get an undisputed starter because of the stiff competition for places.
Alex feels his compatriot might therefore need to leave to be able to take the next phase in the development.
“Marquinhos might have a location at any major European club,” the present Milan defender told L’Equipe.
“His problem at PSG is the fact that he faces competition from two best on the planet in the position. And Thiago Silva and David Luiz have 5 or 6 years inside them. This is a shame for Marquinhos.
“All of the big clubs want to sign him. Every transfer window, he receives some amazing offers. He’s still youthful and it has to experience, show his worth.
“Had I experienced his position, I’d quit PSG.”
Marquinhos makes two starts in six Ligue 1 appearances to date this term.
He’s an agreement with PSG until June 2019.
